MapleStory’s largest issue at the moment is their focus on allowing people without investment to earn

Bots are rampant, bot farms are earning more than players with $10,000+ invested

What’s the incentive to spend if free to play can earn as well

We saw it with Axie back in the day, an issue which hasn’t been solved to date

I’ve been wanting to time a re-entry back into MSU but it’s been off-putting seeing the state of earning by spending

It seems more like something I’d spend $10K+ on for fun, not to earn any reasonable ROI

At that point I’d probably play a pay to win 4X grand strategy game on mobile whale out & have more fun (s/o to my lords mobile days)

The game is inherently flawed IMO for Crypto, they can survive only if their IP expands beyond MSN like they plan to do

We need more MapleStory games to give benefits to the items that MSN spenders are using to farm yield in multiple locations

Kinda like airdrop farming w/ items you’ve accumulated over time

There’s also the expectation for future updates to introduce better gear which will devalue any gear currently attained

I remember in Axie you’d practically get rugged on balance updates if you weren’t careful

Any incentive to hold long term is off-put by future updates which should help the game in a traditional sense

TL;dr as a gamer I’m very confused on why I would put money into the game, as someone that has wanted to
