Ahhh, time for a sad-happy post. 🥲

Not many know, but part of my philosophy is that you can’t help influence policies and regulations for an industry you don’t have skin in the game in.

And it doesn’t get more “in the trenches” than doing GTM in web3.

For over a year now, I’ve helped lead content, growth strategies and comms at @playonshaga. In that time I:

+ wrote their first whitepaper (turned to ‘lorepaper’)
+ scaled social growth to over 7.5M impressions
+ helped grow the GLOB points programme to 900,000+ sign ups
+ designed campaigns and activations that brought in nearly 100,000 unique users with 400,000+ completions
+ launched one of the largest partnerships in the ecosystem with @staratlas
+ directed hundreds of graphics and thousands of posts
+ so many other fun side quests!

All organic.

I'm proud of what I've been able to do at Shaga. But today, I’m sad to say I’m leaving.

If only people knew the journey that @daeshawnballard and I have had…it’s not only a testament to what we were able to build together at Shaga, but above all, a reflection of our friendship. Something I’ll never take for granted and will forever hold close. @solana changed our lives bro. 🥹

Working alongside some of the biggest gigabrains @photons_enjoyor and @aaron_shaga, I've been pushed to think bigger and execute at a higher level. To call this “work” is a privilege.

But growing fast at Shaga has forced me to be honest about my own progress. You can keep repeating what you know, or you can choose to step outside your comfort zone and learn from those operating at an even larger scale. The industry is evolving fast. With institutions entering, the way I once did campaigns isn’t enough anymore, strategies that used to get thousands of engagements now have little to zero ROI, and I find myself desperate to learn more about what's next and what's possible in this arena.

But it means I’ve had to earnestly admit that I’ve hit a turning point at Shaga. I've given everything I can to the project, and it’s time for me to go and grow myself.

From hackathon winners to raising $4M+…I’m honoured to be part of this story. I do honestly believe that after payments, DePIN is the strongest use case for blockchain. I love how Shaga continues to prove that. The tech is evolving daily (super cracked dev team!!!) and the reactions gamers have when using Shaga will never get old. I will always be a Shaga maxi and will, in envy, be watching them as a fan.

To the Shaga team and to every partner we had who supported us: thank you. This season has been a blessing.
