Besides the phenomenal task they're taking on, I haven't seen a team so stacked on all levels.
Based on their previous work, responsiveness to the community, reactiveness to circumstances, and experience in crypto.
Easy bet in my books.
A few of the design principles:
1. Linear Airdrop: No games. Rules transparent upfront. Little to no additional twists.
2. Airdrop Vesting: half upfront, half locked for 6 months. Skin in the game is a must for any/all token distributions. The Community is a co-builder of any protocol, but fully liquid airdrops haven't accomplished much.
3. Public sale: Arguably the best form of skin in the game. Becoming increasingly convinced that this is one of the best distribution methods. Only wish we had gone bigger.
4. Strong Foundation: 20% to the foundation to steward the protocol. No group is better positioned to help Lombard deliver on a multi-year plan, especially not a DAO.
5. Multi-year game : TGE is the end for most projects, and that has always driven me nuts. Lombard team/investors are on 48 month vesting schedules. We did 1 raise, no secondaries or any of that bs. We've got way too much cooking to be distracted by economics early on — and the distribution reflects this.
6. BARD as the center of the Lombard Ecosystem: BARD plays a role across all products we build. LBTC, Vaults, Lombard Ledger, etc. All fees & utility across the ecosystem are unified in one token.
