Notice how much #Bonds went up as a % of portfolio's back in 2000 and 2008? This is something that a lot of people miss because they'll say people aren't interested in bonds anymore, since they don't trust governments ability to repay them. And that would be true probably for like 70 to 80% of governments today.

But the US is actually getting more fiscally responsible while pushing pro-growth policies around the world. We're also seeing greater adoption of the US dollar as a payment rail because of things like stable coins and the fact that the European dollar and Chinese Yuan are just not trusted by the majority of the world. So, if there's ever a bond that you would want to buy at a time of uncertainty it's going to be the United States bond market.

If historically, US bonds perform well during times of distress, and we know that the government is still going to starve out the long end of the curve (10 to 30 years). Why would we not see the same kind of behavior in US bonds exploding higher as a percentage of a portfolio, if there's a downturn in markets yet again, and everything else is at record highs, including $Gold?
