유동성 제공자, 즉 MM이라고 부르는 친구들은 대부분 딱 한가지만 하는게 아니고, 정말 코어인 Liquidity만 하는 경우도 있지만, 업무상 다양한 곳과 컨택이 되어 있기 때문에 안전하게 거래소에 연결을 해주거나 필요할 경우에 특정 지역의 마케팅을 위한 GTM을 연결해준다거나 등의 일도 하기는 합니다.

이때 잘 보면 이런 MarketMaker들의 특징도 조금씩 들어나는데, 우리가 흔히 알고 있는 윈터나 DWF등과 같이 거대한 마켓메이커들도 있지만, 한번도 들어본 적도 없는 다양한 마켓 메이커들도 시장에서 정말 많이 있습니다.

몇일 전 @SonicLabs 에서는 윈터뮤트와 다시 재계약을 했다는 소식이 올라오면서 과연 $S 의 가격이 어떻게 될지에 대한 짐작들이 있었는데, 사실상 유동성 제공자는 그냥 유동성만 제공하는게 핵심입니다.

여기에 한단계 더 깊은 서비스를 들어간다면, 유동성을 제공하면서 동시에 차익거래, 즉 아비트라지도 진행을 하면서 이익을 보는 등을 보게 하는 서비스등도 추가적으로 제공할 수도 있습니다.

$S 의 경우는 시장에 대한 유동성을 안정적으로 제공하는 쪽을 위한 전략적인 움직임이기를 기대해봅니다.
