Reached out to @rastalandTV earlier to provide some support, also sent a personal donation. Obviously very sad situation.

Something I’ve been thinking about for a few weeks is that many of the philanthropic initiatives, whether they be tokens/fundraisers etc are usually conducted by or for people/organizations that have very little knowledge of crypto and are susceptible to drains/hacks. We literally saw another situation similar to this last night when the Team Water account was hacked.

Crypto and philanthropy, specifically using tokens as a fundraising mechanism is going to continue to become more and more popular, but with the amounts of money being raised in such short periods of time, the risk around hacks and drains is proportionally increased.

I think I have a solution to this and will talk about it more soon. Fuck cancer and stay safe

People underestimate how dirty some people are in crypto,

but they also underestimate how quickly people will come together to help

Its been really refreshing to see people offering any type of help to fix this situation.

Education and solutions are needed to help make sure this doesn't happen again to any other people entering crypto.

How heartless do you have to be to do this?

A few hours ago, during a live stream, the creator of the token $CANCER was hit by a sophisticated malware attack.

This creator @rastalandTV is literally battling cancer

And planned to use his creator fees to pay for his treatment.

How it happened:

• Social engineering:

A viewer suggested he download a “verified” game on Steam.

• Malware download:

The file was infected, built to scan browser wallet extensions.

• Funds stolen:

The malware found his private keys and drained $32,000 in creator fees from PumpFun

• Liquidation:

The stolen funds were sent to an OKX linked wallet and sold immediately.

That money was meant for his medical treatment.

And the malware specifically targeted Phantom and Solflare wallets through browser extensions.

Despite the disaster some names like Alex Becker, Easy, and Jakey contributed to help refund him and support his fight.
